HALTOM CITY, TX — A semi truck carrying produce and traveling westbound on Northeast Loop 820, veered off the highway and into a creek bed Tuesday morning, April 17, causing the driver of the truck to suffer minor injuries, according to officials.

" A Haltom City firefighter also was injured when he hit his head trying to extricate the driver, said Cpl. Steve Reiss of the Haltom City Police Department. The firefighter was taken to a local hospital. Police had not released any information on what caused the crash. The truck spilled a small amount of fuel," Reiss said.

SEQUIN, TX A four vehicle accident involving an 18 wheeler, a school bus with 10 people on board and two other vehicles sent 9 students and the driver of the 18 wheeler to the hospital.

Texas Department of Public Safety Trooper Jason Reyes said, "It appears that we had an 18-wheeler that was southbound on 123 and the PT Cruiser that was in front of it had pulled over on the shoulder to allow the 18-wheeler to pass. It appears that the 18-wheeler had clipped the PT Cruiser, causing it to spin directly in front of the bus, striking the bus. A Ford Focus that was directly behind the bus became involved in the crash."

FORT WORTH, TX Northlake Texas police arrived at the scene of a crash between two 18 wheelers that occurred around 11:15 p.m. late Tuesday night on April 10 near the Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth, Texas.

HEARNE, TX Poor driving conditions due to heavy rains is being blamed for a fatal accident involving an 18-wheeler and a pickup on Texas 6 south of Hearne on Thursday afternoon, March 29, that left three people dead and two others injured. Hearne is located in Robertson County, Texas in the eastern central part of the state about 119 miles northwest of Houston and 95 miles northeast of Austin.

" DPS identified the dead as James Darwyn Jones, 75, of Bryan, the driver of the Toyota; Kenneth Michael Pecina, 28, of Franklin, and Pecina's son, 5-year-old Trey Michael Pecina, both passengers in the pickup. They were pronounced dead at the scene and their bodies were taken to Memorial Funeral Home in Hearne," DPS reported.
